Close to the world-famous Sotogrande, its “little sister” La Alcaidesa is growing at a rapid pace and attracts more and more buyers (investors included) every year.

Traditionally, a “links course” is a specific kind of golf course, built on a seaside area, right on the strips of land (“links”) located between the beach and the crop areas, with few or no trees, on a typically undulating ground that determines a specific way of playing (in fact, golf was invented when someone in Scotland had the great idea to start knocking a ball with a stick, for fun, on one of those otherwise useless pieces of land).

For Britons and Irish, all “true links courses” are located on the British Isles —and we should give them credit, as inventors of the whole thing— but when they come to La Alcaidesa, they will find many familiar features, if only because of the predominant green all around.

The Links  is the name of one of the most prominent developments in La Alcaidesa, with views to the golf, the sea and Gibraltar from virtually every property.

And this is yet one more of the beauties of buying a property in La Alcaidesa: not being yet a consolidated luxury area like Sotogrande, the prices are much lower, but you will have all its attractions (the elite golf clubs, the polo clubs, the famous Marina…) at a just 10 minutes drive.
